We are looking for an experienced and ambitious Sales Director to grow the current sales function in the Nordics and expanding to other European countries (Baltics, Germany, Poland). Reporting directly to the regional CEO, this role will play a key part in the growth of the business. The Sales Director will take responsibility across prospecting, relationship development, managing the sales cycles, with the ability to show strong negotiating and closing skills. You will play a pivotal role in developing and defining our sales and marketing strategy. Working closely with our business leadership, you will be responsible for driving engagement with prospects, supported by the current sales team in Sweden and Finland. As a key member of the leadership team you will implement the appropriate processes and controls to drive revenue growth and to allow the business to scale at pace. This role will play a fundamental part in the growth of the overall business and as part of the senior leadership team we are looking for someone who is commercially astute and who is open to growing and taking on more responsibility as this exciting position develops.


Key Responsibilities

  1. Develop and implement the sales strategy in-line with the overall goals of the business.
  2. Deliver the agreed targets for revenue, margin and market penetration.
  3. Implement robust and scalable sales processes to deliver continuous improvement in the visibility and predictability of sales performance. This will include bid management, pipeline management and forecasting.
  4. Create the optimal structure for the sales team.
  5. Plan and monitor sales opportunities, closing sufficient business to exceed targets, building a continuous pipeline of future, deliverable business. This will include new customer acquisition and clear account management processes.
  6. Provide clear executive leadership to the sales teams. Lead by example and be recognised as a role model for major sales opportunities. As such personally lead large-scale transformational deals with key customers.
  7. Manage, build and motivate the sales team to achieve their sales quota and personally lead key customer relationships.
  8. Ensure all of our software and service offerings are clearly defined in a consistent format which articulate the USPs of the offering, and identify specifically which market sector/customer the offering is aimed at, how the product will be taken to market and by whom.
  9. Work with marketing to ensure they are developing and driving integrated marketing programs consisting of best practice marketing mix elements that generate quality marketing pipeline prospects that will ultimately be passed as Sales Ready Leads to the new business and account teams.
  10. Represent us externally at trade shows and customer events to raise the profile of the business and to evangelise the proposition.
  11. Lead, develop and motivate the team, ensuring that the resources and organisation structure are best suited to deliver KCS’ strategic plan.
  12. Support the ongoing expansion of the business. As and when appropriate, integrate and align resources from acquired businesses.
  13. Contribute to the success of the wider business and play a full role in the leadership of the company.

Key Requirements

Experience and skills required:

  1. A talented enterprise software sales leader with a track record of consistency (over) performance.
  2. Experience of finding new and growing existing revenue streams.
  3. A background in ERP/SaaS software sales.
  4. Knowledge of the tyre, automotive or similar industries an advantage.
  5. Demonstrable ability to build and motivate high performing sales teams.
  6. Proven ability to implement robust and scalable sales processes in high growth environments.
  7. Strategic and commercial skills.
  8. Previous experience implementing business strategy through targeted sales activities and is able to thrive in establishing and communicating sales initiatives that support our corporate objectives.
  9. Ideally has experience of working for large and mid-sized businesses and has integrated acquired businesses sales staff.
  10. Fluent in English, German is highly preferred.
