Role and Responsibilities: The Staff Accountant prepares and analyzes internal financial reporting in a timely, accurate, and efficient manner. This position also supports the use & maintenance of Company systems related to the Accounting function. The Staff Accountant also aids the Controller and Chief Financial Officer as needed. Your responsibilities will include:
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements and related workpapers for Company Management, including the Controller and Chief Financial Officer.
  • Prepare quarterly financial statement presentations, notes, & analysis for Board of Directors meetings, including PowerPoint presentations.
  • Maintain reporting related to Company Payments.
  • Support the Cash Management team with Monthly/Daily Cash Reconciliations as needed.
  • Research complex policy accounting questions or problems, requiring a thorough understanding of various policy transactions and procedures.
  • Support the Accounting Department's use & maintenance of various systems & workflows involved in daily work.
  • Support other areas the Company on project teams for upgrades or implementation of system software and automation of processes/procedures.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in business related major or Mathematics
  • Successful completion of the Wonderlic Test
  • Basic skills using Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • The ability to work independently
