What is the role about?
The Strategic Account Manager (SAM) develops, maintains and expands a long-term strategic relationship with important Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) customers. Assigned to a selected named customer, the Strategic Account Manager is responsible for achieving mutual growth, identifying the customers' project landscape in its early phases, gaining trust, and innovating to be the selected supplier of choice. The SAM represents the entire range of Endress+Hauser's products, services, and solutions to the assigned customer, and must leverage Endress+Hauser's resources and capabilities globally. This will enable Endress+Hauser to ensure the adaptation and development of Endress+Hauser's offering to meet both the customer's and Endress+Hauser's current and future requirements. An integral part of the role is leading the customer account planning cycle while ensuring the customer's needs and expectations are met.
Which tasks will you perform?
- Establishes productive, professional relationships with key stakeholders and project teams in assigned customer accounts.
- Coordinates the involvement of Endress+Hauser personnel, including Project Sales, Inside Sales, Account Management, Representatives, Services, and Management resources to meet account performance objectives and customerexpectations.
- Meets assigned targets for sales and other strategic objectives in assigned accounts.
- Identifies assigned account'scapital project landscape early and drives the qualification efforts to establish a best-fit project pursuit pipeline for Endress+Hauser.
- Proactively leads a joint company-strategic account planning process that develops mutual performance objectives, financial targets, pipeline development, and critical milestones for a one and three-year period.
What do we expect from you?
You will have (required):
- Bachelor of Science, Preferably in Engineering.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in sales, account management, or business development
- Clear understanding of capital projects business and EPC type customers
- Language fluent in English
- Foreign travel is integral part of the Strategic Account Manager
You may have (preferred):
- MBA desired
- Strategic Account Management experience
- Ability to network effectively
- Ability to build and sustain relationships from operational levels to senior management
- Capable of motivating and leading teams in a multi-cultural, multi-national and matrix environment
- Ability to lead and influence without direct reporting authority across different geographies
- Capable of strategic thinking
