RAPP Dallas is looking for an Account Director to join our award-winning Account Leadership team.

YOUR ROLE:

You will be the day-to-day manager of the client relationship; a brand champion, an agency facilitator, and a trusted partner to both clients and your team. You are an advisor and partner and build relationships with the client at the marketing/category director levels. You have developed a keen ability for managing client based multi-discipline projects across the agency matrix, cross-holding company partners, and external agency partners. Along with your supervisor, you will steward all elements of the engagement including project management: project definition, scope management, risk management, hand-off management, and team management. You have natural curiosity and are motivated by driving excellent results, time and time again.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Be the day-to-day contact for Manager and Director level clients. Author core client communications such as contact reports and Scope of Work documents including timelines, budgets, and descriptions of deliverables.
  • Coordinate team meetings and client presentations, facilitate the development of project briefs, working with strategic planners, analysts, and technologists.
  • Understand the essential dynamics, strategies, and drivers of the client’s business particularly environment/industry through direct and indirect channels.
  • Be the organizational center of projects – manage deliverables, problem solve, and lead flawless execution even when the path to executing deliverables is ambiguous and you are receiving input and direction from multiple stakeholders.
  • Track project budgets and scopes, assessing estimates to actuals, managing Change Order process as needed.
  • Knowledgeable of agency operations and client lead mapping.
  • Comprehensively understand competitive, agency, and vendor landscapes.
  • Interface with clients as well as internal functional teams.
  • Monitor on-time/on-budget project performance and escalate as necessary.
  • Understand and manage details of marketing campaigns and/or project deliverables in the context of a larger business picture and future state vision.
  • Challenge direction, or the status quo, and seek alternate perspectives and approaches in developing effective marketing strategies.
  • Encourage client consideration and application of agency-generated POVs when developing ideas and project plans.
  • Collaborate with other depts. (project management, experience strategy, creative, marketing science, technology, etc.) to create project communication plans.
  • Participate in the presentation of agency services and client deliverables.
  • Evaluate the input and ideas of the experience strategy, creative, media, marketing science, and technology teams relative to strategy and client preferences.
  • Advocate for the business internally and keep the agency team informed, focused, and enthused about the work and the business.
  • Actively work to grow and develop the skills and abilities of junior agency staff.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Information Management, or a similar field.
  • 7+ years of experience in an agency, digital marketing, CRM, or consulting environment.
  • Experience writing detailed proposals and statements of work to clearly define project scope, budget, and timelines.
  • Able to communicate complex digital marketing solutions in a clear, concise manner.
  • Very experienced in presenting information both orally and in writing with excellent interpersonal, presentation, and written skills.
  • Demonstrated capability and experience in managing and mentoring team members.
  • Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and desire to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to demonstrate flexibility and creative problem-solving.
  • Manage project deliverables including time and cost estimates.
  • Understand and manage factors related to account profitability, client satisfaction, and client retention.
  • Must be able to work in a team environment.
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and MS Project.

Financial services industry experience is a plus.

This range is specific to Dallas, and multiple factors are considered in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to: skill set, experience and training, certifications; etc. This is an exempt position.
