Mercer Athletics is searching for a Director of Ticket Sales.
Responsibilities:
This position will assist in generating awareness of Mercer Athletics with the ultimate objective of increasing season ticket revenue. The position includes responsibility for single game and season ticket promotions, and provides sales support for Mercer Athletic activities. This position will be responsible for increasing revenue through season, single, and group ticket sales.
Qualifications:
A bachelor's degree in Marketing, Sports Management, or a related field from an accredited college/university is required along with one year of sports ticket sales experience. Candidates with 3+ years in Ticket Sales or Service/Ticketing Management/Team Leader and/or prior experience working specifically in athletics marketing as well as knowledge of the local Middle Georgia market are highly desirable.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
- Computer proficient (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook) and detail-oriented
- Excellent communication, presentation, and listening skills
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Professional image and demeanor at all times
- Ability to work well with others and confidence when taking initiative
- Available to work events including home games and special events in evenings and on weekends
- Proficiency in mining data to identify prospects
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate successfully with internal and external stakeholder groups
