A law firm located in Boston, MA, is seeking a dedicated and experienced Insurance Defense Attorney to join their legal team. The ideal candidate will have 2-7 years of experience in insurance defense litigation and will be responsible for handling various complex legal matters related to insurance claims and disputes. Duties

  • Represent clients in insurance defense litigation, including property, casualty, and liability claims.
  • Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, and briefs.
  • Participate in all phases of litigation, including discovery, depositions, and trial preparation.
  • Provide clients with sound legal advice and develop case strategies.
  • Negotiate settlements on behalf of clients.
  • Attend court hearings, trials, and mediations as required.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date case files and documentation.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and support staff to ensure efficient case management.
  • Stay current with changes in insurance law and relevant legal precedents.
  • Foster and maintain strong client relationships.

Requirements

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Active license to practice law in the state of Massachusetts.
  • 2-7 years of experience in insurance defense litigation.
  • Proven track record of successful case outcomes.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency with legal research tools and software.
  • Commitment to maintaining the highest ethical standards.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Active membership in good standing with the Massachusetts State Bar.
