Type of Role: Contract-Hire
Our client, a leader in the automation and material handling machinery industry, is seeking an Accounting Assistant to support their newly launched site following a significant acquisition. This is an exciting opportunity for a blended accounting specialist to contribute to various functions within the accounting department as the company continues to grow and evolve. Contract to hire.
Key Responsibilities:

• Process vendor invoices and manage accounts payable activities, ensuring timely payments and accurate record-keeping.
• Assist in the reconciliation of accounts payable transactions and resolve any discrepancies.
• Prepare and send out customer invoices, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
• Monitor accounts receivable aging reports and follow up on overdue accounts to ensure timely collections.
• Assist in the preparation of weekly and monthly cash application reports, ensuring accurate posting of payments.
• Process and record cash receipts, including checks and electronic payments, into the accounting system.
• Support month-end close activities by preparing necessary reports and reconciliations for accounts payable and receivable.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline accounting processes and improve efficiency.
• Maintain accurate records and files, ensuring compliance with company policies and relevant regulations.

Qualifications:

• 2-3 years of experience in accounting or finance, with a focus on accounts payable and receivable.
• Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
