The Warehouser supports the Rubber Department. Transport, organize, and supply material to production personnel such that continuous production is possible. Perform machine loading and very minor machine repair.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS  

  • Unload trucks, verifying count to bill of lading/packing slips.  Stacks materials on pallets or other storage medium for inventory in the Raw Materials Warehouse or other areas as specified.

  • Verifies part ID and quantity of all incoming material.  Appropriately marks incoming goods with label or LP prior to storage in racks.

  • Pulls and/or locates materials for storage according to SAP requisition or Apriso transaction received from Manufacturing.

  • Open bales, crates and other containers as necessary using hand tools.

  • Retrieve raw materials from Warehouse storage racks (according to SAP requisition or Apriso transaction using FIFO system.  Warehouser delivers material to requesting departments(s).

  • Transport finished goods from post-sterilization storage; loading them onto trucks in the Shipping Department.

  • Maintains records of all Shipping transactions shipped and records on Load List.

  • Perform duties to maintain a cycle count accuracy level of 98%.

  • Perform monthly cycle counts on items in warehouse and Label/cannula room. Reconcile discrepancies within the scope of responsibility.

  • Performs duties employing all standard safety practices as detailed in forklift operator training course. 

  • Performs daily safety check of powered equipment as required.

  • Must have a complete proven understanding of all SAP and Apriso transactions.

  • Must observe all safety and environmental practices and Quality System Requirements (QSR).

  • Handle all waste drum transfer request for non-hazard and hazardous drums for all departments.

  • Dispose of all empty drums for all departments

  • Receives labels/cannula from the Warehouse and/or manufacturing areas.

  • Verify the label/cannula identity and quantities are correct prior to placing into inventory.

  • Locate labels/cannula in separate and segregated storage bins by part number and enters in computer.

  • Receives SAP/Apriso orders by computer/gun.

  • Prepare orders with correct labels/cannula and quantity for manufacturing issuance.

  • Issue labels/cannula to manufacturing Material Handler and enters in computer.

  • Upon return of unused labels/cannula verify label/cannula count and batch number.  Locates returned labels/cannula in separate and segregated storage bins using SAP/Apriso transactions.

  • Perform daily computer transactions.

Minimum Requirement:

  • High School Diploma or GED preferred

  • SAP / Apriso preferred

  • Warehouse experience required

  • Forklift Driving experience required

Work Environment:

  • BD is a smoke-free campus.  Smoking and the use of electronic smoking devices, marijuana, or tobacco products are not allowed on BD property, grounds or in the parking areas.  We appreciate your cooperation in adhering to this policy
     
  • False eyelashes, press-on fingernails, and Jewelry is not allowed on the production floor including dermals.  Any associate wearing dermals will be required to cover them while working on the production floor. 
     
  • Shoes are required to be Steel Toe and non-slip for all associates while on the production floor for safety purposes.
