Licensed Psychiatrist Correctional/Contractual

The starting rate of pay is $280.00/hr. The schedule is typically Monday- Friday from 8:00 am-4:30 pm. Are you a dedicated professional looking to make a meaningful impact in a unique and challenging environment?

Responsibilities include:

• Diagnosing and treating newly admitted, convalescent, and chronic patients
• Completing physical and mental health information for social security disability benefits and providing expert opinions
• Treating medical, surgical, psychiatric, and neurological problems of patients
• Consulting with patients, families, medical professionals, attorneys, teachers, and other relevant personnel to interpret clinical findings
• Preparing diagnostic reports for judges, administrative law examiners, federal government officials, school officials, physicians, and other identified parties
• Providing expert witness testimony in courts of law and administrative hearings regarding patients' status or social security disability income claimants
• Directing and instructing nurses, other professional support staff, attendants, and residents in patient care and treatment
• Prescribing medications for the treatment of physical and psychological disorders
