You will play a significant role among a group of engineers and technicians in the development and certification of a variety of auxiliary power units (APUs), power systems and propulsion engines (fan and shaft power).This team is actively engaged in Engineering Test Transformation – helping to redefine how test is done at E&PS. Our overarching mission is to ensure that our customers obtain the data they need the first time. We develop, own and maintain the facilities and test processes that enable the development, certification and long-term support of the entirety of the E&PS product families.Key ResponsibilitiesLearns new engine models while taking increasingly independent role in preparation, execution and troubleshooting of development and certification tests while also supporting Production and Overhaul (FAA Safety Sensitive)Applies knowledge of complex mechanical products test methods to learn engine models and facility systems and test equipmentProvides constructive feedback on test plans and test approaches, Models Safety, HOS, Behaviors and Continuous ImprovementSupports team in establishing solutions to meet requirements for innovative test solutions for new and existing productsU.S. PERSON REQUIREMENTSDue to compliance with U.S. export control laws and regulations, candidate must be a U.S. Person, which is defined as, a U.S. citizen, a U.S. permanent resident, or have protected status in the U.S. under asylum or refugee status or have the ability to obtain an export authorizationYOU MUST HAVEHigh School Diploma or GEDMinimum 5-7 years of directly related experience as a Turbine Engine Test, Engineering and/or Assembly TechnicianWE VALUEExperience executing complex and/or unique turbine engine tests is of valueStrong troubleshooting skills with complex, integrated mechanical systems with emphasis on driving the team to identify root cause as well as contributing causes – and playing a role in recommending and implementing corrective actionsIndividuals who are self-motivated and able to work independently – toward achieving team, project and organization visionDemonstrated ability to make timely decisions in the face of ambiguous and complex situationsHoneywell is an equal opportunity employer.
