Senior Accountant

Our client in the healthcare industry is looking for a Senior Accountant to join their West Palm Beach location.

Salary/Hourly Rate:

$85,000 - $100,000

Position Overview:

The ideal Senior Accountant candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of accounting experience, specifically within the healthcare industry, and must be proficient with Sage software. Knowledge of medical billing is essential to succeed in this Senior Accountant role.

Responsibilities of the Senior Accountant:

• Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
• Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
• Perform account reconciliations, journal entries, and variance analysis
• Oversee and improve medical billing processes, ensuring compliance and efficiency
• Collaborate with various departments to support financial operations and ensure alignment with healthcare industry standards
• Maintain and optimize accounting records in Sage, ensuring data integrity and consistency
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis
• Ensure compliance with healthcare accounting regulations, policies, and procedures

Qualifications for the Senior Accountant:

• Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience, with a focus on healthcare
• Experience with Sage accounting software is required
• Prior experience in an organization with at least $15 million in revenue
• Strong understanding of medical billing and healthcare-related financial practices
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other financial analysis tools
• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication skills and attention to detail

Education Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is required
