VVG is looking for a Tool Room Attendant to join our team in Fontana, CA for following hours: Monday-Friday between 7:30am-4:00pm!
What You'll Do:
The Tool Room Attendant supports maintenance activities by accounting for and issuing out tools to shop personnel in a safe and efficient manner. The Tool Room Attendant must demonstrate behaviors consistent with company values-Speed, Value, Trust-in all interactions with customers, co-workers, and vendors.
Job Duties:

• Tool Room Management: Run day-to-day operations and maintain tools for cleanliness and functionality.
• Assist employees with tool requests and keep records.
• Ensure off-site Technicians have necessary tools promptly.
• Enforce rag policy and request new tools as needed.
• Coordinate tool repairs with vendors.
• Conduct weekly 5S audits and report unsafe conditions.
• Research and request necessary tools.
• Report issues and requests to the Safety Compliance Supervisor.
• Hazmat Management: Keep the north wing clean and handle waste properly and drain oil/coolant pans.
• Vehicle Inspection: Inspect service vehicles weekly, maintain cleanliness and readiness of all service vehicles, including forklifts.

Job Skills and Qualifications:

• Post-Secondary vocational education strongly preferred.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to manage multiple demands, prioritize, and stay organized in a fast-paced environment.
• Maintenance of wash rags and steam clean bay for pressure washes.
• Drain oil pan carts into oil waste barrels and monitor tools check-in and check-out procedures.
• Manage day-to-day operations of the tool room.
• Assist with special projects such as foot printing in the shop.
• Perform special cleaning projects and assigned job-related duties.
• Desire to become a technician with mechanical aptitude.
• Self-motivated and positive attitude.
• Ability to understand and adhere to Company Policies in all areas.

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to pass post offer drug test, physical and lift.

Compensation:

• $20-22/hourly depending on experience
