Record revenue and process natural gas plant allocations for oil and gas sales associated with company and outside operated properties, as well as collect associated accounts receivable. Review and process division of interest changes received from Land Administration. Monitor gas balancing, pipeline imbalances, and prepare related general ledger entries. Coordinate with the Regulatory team to report royalties (Federal, State and fee) and State severance taxes. Perform account reconciliations and analysis on revenue related general ledger accounts. Respond to royalty owner inquiries and work on special projects. Managing and optimizing oil & gas revenue allocations, and insuring accuracy in state and ONRR reporting.
Job Requirements
A Bachelor's or Master's degree, from an accredited institution, in an accounting related business field (e.g. Finance), including core accounting classes relevant to the position, is required. 5+ years of oil and gas revenue accounting, or comparable oil and gas accounting experience, is required. CPA is a plus. Must have working knowledge of and ability to apply generally accepted accounting principles.
Requires excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with others in the organization to consistently meet rigorous deadlines. Requires accuracy and demonstrated analytical ability, as well as the ability to multi-task and prioritize effectively. Must be proficient in Windows, MS Excel, and Word. Knowledge of AS400 system and MS Queries a plus.
Position will be filled at a level commensurate with experience.
