This position will oversee the application services programming for various computer systems supported by the IT department. The incumbent provides support for the Information Systems (IS) Group in identifying and resolving application problems. In addition, this position is the main support for many of the critical IT applications which include Computer Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) Maximo, Emergency Notification Systems (ENS), Integrations, and Mobile Applications. This position will resolve information technology issues with other operating or control agencies impacted by information technology projects. The selected employee in the position will also be responsible for planning, coordinating, and evaluating the work of other IT Programmer Analysts and related support staff; instructing staff in administrative and operating policies and procedures, maintaining logs of assigned projects, and preparing status reports for management as required. The IT Programmer Analyst Lead receives general supervision from the IT Programmer Analyst Supervisor or IT Manager.The current position is located in Glen Burnie, Maryland (Anne Arundel County).QualificationsMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:Education: Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Information Technology, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or other information technology related field.Experience: Two (2) years of experience designing, developing, testing, implementing and maintaining applications systems and programs using generally accepted computer programming languages or other developmental tools. **One (1) year of this experience must involve proficiency using Structured Query Language (SQL) and leading or reviewing code from IT professionals.** A Selective qualification recruitment is conducted for a job or position when there is a specific or additional bona fide occupational qualification (i.e., knowledge, skill, or ability).
