We are looking for a Senior Full Stack Engineer having a high degree of competence in developing easy-to-use, customer-focused responsive user interface applications. You will help us design and develop applications that focus on customer experience. Also, you will be involved in integrating with backend services. You’ll contribute to the entire development lifecycle from concept to deployment as a member of an agile, multi-functional team.

Your Future Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Design, develop, and maintain complex and scalable software applications using Java, Spring Boot, and related technologies.
  2. Lead the development and implementation of key features and functionalities.
  3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams (design, product, QA) to deliver high-quality software on time and within budget.
  4. Mentor and guide junior developers by sharing your knowledge and expertise.
  5. Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and trends in the Java ecosystem.
  6. Contribute to the definition and implementation of best practices and coding standards.
  7. Participate in the design and optimization of CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure using Docker, Kubernetes, and AWS.
  8. Implement robust and efficient messaging solutions using Kafka and other message brokers.
  9. Utilize Swagger for API documentation and testing.
  10. Write clean, testable, and well-documented code using JUnit and other testing frameworks.
  11. Conduct comprehensive unit, integration, and BDD (Behavior Driven Development) testing using Karate or similar frameworks.
  12. Work with SQL and database technologies like Hibernate and/or MyBatis.

Required Qualifications To Be Successful In This Role

  1. Minimum 10+ years of experience as a Software Engineer, with at least 5 years in a principal or senior role.
  2. Proven experience with Java programming language (up to version 17), Spring Boot, and Maven.
  3. In-depth knowledge of multi-threading concepts and best practices.
  4. Experience with AWS and horizontal scaling techniques.
  5. Expertise in unit testing with JUnit and experience with BDD frameworks like Karate.
  6. Familiarity with SQL and database programming using Hibernate and/or MyBatis.
  7. Strong understanding of messaging frameworks like Kafka and API documentation tools like Swagger.
  8. Experience with CI/CD pipelines and containerization using Docker and Kubernetes.
  9. Excellent communication, collaboration, and leadership skills.
  10. Passionate about engineering excellence and continuous learning.

Preferred Qualifications

  1. Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science or a related field.

The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and licensure and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit-based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $85,800 - $130,200.
