Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and passionate Staff Accountant to join our dynamic team specializing in jet charter operations. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in accounting principles, financial analysis, and regulatory compliance. In addition, the selected candidate will possess, or quickly be able to possess a particular focus on the unique financial aspects of the charter industry. This role will play a crucial part in ensuring the financial health and compliance of our company's operations.
What You Will Be Doing:
  • Prepare financial statements, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements, to provide insights into the financial performance of our jet charter operations and jet owners.
  • Collaborate with management to develop annual budgets and forecasts for the jet charter division and jet owners, monitoring performance against budgeted targets and providing variance analysis.
  • Communicate closely with maintenance, flight crew, and operations to ensure accurate financial reporting, budget adherence, and any potential discrepancies.
  • Manage the billing process for charter and maintenance services provided to clients and aircraft owners, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of invoicing and collections.
  • Utilize financial and aviation industry software, including QuickBooks, JetInsight, and EBIS.
  • Stay abreast of tax regulations and compliance requirements specific to the aviation industry.
  • Ensure compliance with aviation regulatory requirements related to financial reporting, tax filings, and other financial matters.
  • Participate in special projects and initiatives as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
  • A bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is preferred.
  • 2-3 years of accounting experience is required.  Experience in an early stage, small to medium sized business or in the aviation industry is a plus. 
  • Knowledge of multi-entity and/or multi-disciplinary organizations is a plus.
  • Provides excellent internal and external customer service.
  • Exhibits initiative and is self-motivated.
  • Possess the ability to be accurate and attentive to details while effectively managing your time and your tasks.
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and integrity in financial reporting.
  • Strong computer application skills and aptitude for learning new systems and processes.
  • Ability to work both independently and within a team environment and displaying strong relationship building skills.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial analysis, and reporting standards.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide meaningful insights.
  • Effective communication skills, verbally and written, with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally and communicate financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Possess a high level of integrity with an emphasis on teamwork, growth, and customer service.
Compensation
The base compensation range for this position is $70,000 to $80,000 annually . Exact compensation may vary based on the chosen candidate’s skills and experience.

Physical Requirements
To successfully perform the essential functions of this job, the employee must be able to:
  • Perform work in a professional office environment.
  • Lift, push, and pull up to 25 lbs.
  • Must be able to use standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and fax machines.
  • Regularly required to sit, and to move about the various work environments to train, monitor and ensure compliance with all company requirements.
  • Verbally communicate with employees, co-workers and customers in person and by phone.
  • Occasional travel to various worksites that may require overnight stays, flights, and/or prolonged travel in a vehicle.
