Mead & Hunt is looking for a talented, collaborative, and innovative problem-solver who wants to build a dynamic career in aviation planning with a nationally recognized company. Mead & Hunt is offering a full-time, Entry-Level Civil Strategies Planner position to work with our aviation group. Some travel will be required.
Responsibilities include assisting with:
- Research, analysis, and creation of aviation compliance documents such as: Title VI programs, community participation plans, disadvantaged business enterprise programs, airport concessions disadvantaged business enterprise programs, strategic plans, economic impact studies, and/or environmental justice assessments.
- Support in developing comprehensive airport equity programs, accessibility action plans, equity learning series, workforce development programs, and/or community involvement programs.
- Providing national and state environmental documentation.
- Preparing presentations for stakeholder and public meetings/workshops.
- Creating maps, figures, and graphics.
- Writing technical reports and public communications pieces.
The successful candidate will have the following:
- A bachelor's degree (or higher) in aviation/airport management, urban planning, sustainability and resilience planning, environmental planning or engineering, civil engineering, architecture, geography/GIS, economics, marketing, communications, or a related field from an accredited four-year college or university.
- Valid driver's license.

- Strong research skills related to aviation, planning, equity, and environmental topics.
- Experience working in a team environment and independently.
- Experience with public presentations and speaking.
- Experience with GIS, AutoCAD, and/or graphic design software
- Interest in community involvement and participation.
- Interest in aviation, and airport planning and development.
- DBELO certification from the Airport Minority Advisory Council.
- AICP certification from the American Planning Association.

Salary Range: $60,000 to $70,000 - Actual compensation may vary due to other factors such as: experience, skill set, or location.
