Overview

This is a hybrid role, with the expectation that time working will regularly take place inside and outside of a company office.

This position promotes and sells Foreign Exchange services through personal sales efforts and relationship business banking development. Responsible for the continuous growth of retail, private wealth, and commercial FX services. Generates significant fee income to drive revenue, with a focus on the Bank’s conversion of outgoing wires from USD to foreign currencies. Supports and trains retail branch network on service offerings. Advises branch network on best practices for identifying potential FX conversions through various methods including training, demos, and presentations.


Responsibilities

Sales - Promotes FX services to existing and potential customers through a variety of sales techniques including market analysis, best practice advisory, and market insight. Cross-sells into other products and services, advising clients of hedging strategies for forwards and windows. Develops sales plan to achieve personal business goals and profitability objectives.

Consistently seeks out and pursues new business opportunities, leveraging market intelligence and industry trends to identify potential clients and opportunities.

  1. Proactively develop and maintain strong relationships with key clients and prospects in the assigned portfolio.
  2. Demonstrate advanced knowledge of FX products, pricing, and risk factors.
  3. Execute complex FX transactions, including spot, forward, option, and swap deals.
  4. Product Development - Responsible for creating new products and services to increase revenue. Will work with various stakeholders throughout the organization to create, develop, and implement a new FX product to focus on our private banking and wealth clientele.
  5. Contribute to Product Development strategy and roadmap.
  6. Relationship Development - Develops and maintains relationships with market leadership, lenders, and other key parties. Builds sales network in territory and establishes rapport.
  7. Market Knowledge and Deal Execution - Stay informed about market trends, economic indicators, and geopolitical events affecting FX markets.
  8. Serve as a subject matter expert for clients on FX-related matters.
  9. Service & Support - Answers inquiries, coordinates sales materials, and other tasks relating to the delivery of excellent customer service by utilizing Bloomberg and various online market materials. Acts as an advisory administrator with a consultative sales approach centered around complex financial risk management dialog pertaining to FX hedging. Provides support to retail branch network by training associates on offered services.
  10. Product Proficiency - Maintains knowledge of foreign products, services, and practices, providing guidance to both customers and retail banking associates.
  11. Ensure adherence to all relevant regulatory requirements, internal policies, and risk management protocols.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree and 8 years of experience in Foreign Exchange, FX Trading, Sales, International Payments, and Finance OR High School Diploma or GED and 12 years of experience in Foreign Exchange, FX Trading, Sales, International Payments, and Finance.

Understanding of global markets, knowledge of Commercial FX products, knowledge of Retail Foreign Exchange product, and sales ability.

If hired in CA, the base pay for this position is generally between $148,270.00 and $200,600.00. Actual starting base pay will be determined based on skills, experience, location, and other non-discriminatory factors permitted by law. For some roles, total compensation may also include variable incentives, bonuses, benefits, and/or other awards as outlined in the offer of employment.
