Wellness Director / DON for Assisted Living Community

Wellness Director Duties and Responsibilities:

1. The coordination of resident care with a “hands on” management style
2. Strong organizational skills
3. Develops, reviews, and revises nursing and clinical policies
4. Able to work days, but also willing to be flexible during a staff shortage or emergency situation
5. Conduct employee performance evaluations and disciplinary situations to ensure quality care of residents
6. Ability to multi-task
7. Knowledge of State Specific Regulations
8. Ability to lead in the recruitment of qualified staff by conducting interviews
9. Ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant
10. Ability to focus on customer service and collaboration with other departments to develop, support, and coordinate patient care and related functions
11. Promote an atmosphere of respect, professional growth, and encouragement for all nursing staff members and assure regulatory standards and company goals are met or exceeded
12. Responsible for cost controls by monitoring the use of supplies and equipment

Wellness Director Qualifications and Skills:

1. Registered Nurse License or Licensed Practical Nurse License (Required)
2. CPR/First Aid (Required)
