Job Description:
The Director, ONIVYDE Marketing is a key leadership role on the Oncology Business Unit, US. The position will report to the Senior Director, ONIVYDE Marketing. The successful candidate will lead US promotional marketing strategy and will be a key contributor to multiple initiatives to help the ONIVYDE team achieve near-term goals and design long-term franchise strategy. The director will be responsible for developing, managing, and executing promotional plans, with a special focus on field effectiveness. Leading brand campaign development, supporting long-term lifecycle planning, and providing overall leadership to various tactical initiatives will be core responsibilities for the marketing leader.
As a key leader for field effectiveness, the director will be responsible for leading strategies related to (but not limited to) messaging, targeting, segmentation, and training. The successful candidate will be responsible for collaborating with the data and insights team to ensure research and analytics plans are aligned with brand needs. Additionally, the marketing director will work closely with the field leadership team to ensure that training needs are clearly identified and communicated.
Leadership skills and proven track record of building and executing strategic plans in collaboration with multiple cross-functional partners will be critical in this role.
Main Responsibilities & Job Expectations
Core Marketing Activities
  • Brand Planning and Tactical Plan development for ONIVYDE
  • Oversee targeting and segmentation processes
  • Develop and test brand messaging
  • Assess training needs, co-develop strategic 1L mPDAC ONIVYDE training plan, collaborate with internal and external providers on the creation of new resources
  • Ensuring compliant execution of all promotional activities
Cross Functional Leadership
Collaborate with:
  • Oncology field leadership to provide support with sales force execution and other business needs.
  • Oncology Training team to co-develop training plan and oversee execution of process
  • Marketing, Key Accounts & Sales teams on brand promotional development, execution and performance management
  • V&A team, Sales leadership, TLE team Training on brand promotional plan development, execution and performance
  • Business insights and data teams to develop primary and secondary research plan to work with advanced analytics to ensure appropriate understanding and implementation of brand strategy
Knowledge, Abilities & Experience
  • Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent, MS/MBA preferred
  • Proven cross-functional leadership skills to lead across a complex matrix
  • Biopharma commercial experience; minimum 5 years of pharmaceutical or biotechnology experience commercial experience
  • Field experience preferred
  • Successful Oncology launch planning experience
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills along with the ability to influence others
  • Ability to work with multiple internal cross-functional teams and successfully manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Demonstrated consistent track record of success
  • Strong scientific/medical aptitude and experience
  • Significant experience in, and knowledge of specialty oncology with complex science and reimbursement
  • Demonstrated success in project, vendor, and experience managing large budgets
  • Knowledge of the AMA, ACCME, PhRMA and FDA regulations associated with promotion and industry-supported scientific education activities.
  • Working within an environment of strict compliance to all appropriate regulatory guidelines to successfully design and execute tactics, programs and tools that achieve business objectives.
  • Excellent written and verbal skills and strong interpersonal communication skills
  • Willingness/ability to travel domestically. International travel may be required

The annual base salary range for this position is $180,750 - $265,000

The pay range displayed above is the range of base pay compensation within which Ipsen expects to pay for this role at the time of this posting. Individual compensation within this range depends on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, prior education and experience, job-related knowledge and demonstrated skills.
