Summary:

The Project Engineer is responsible support front end sales activities and site assessments, while providing technical expertise and some level of project management for custom equipment / systems design, build and installation projects. This role blends technical knowledge with client facing interactions, helping to develop proposals, manage client relationships, and ensure project specifications are met. Proficiency in 2D AutoCAD is required for creating and modifying plant layouts our custom systems to be designed.

Key Responsibilities :

• Technical Expertise : Utilize 2D AutoCAD to create, modify, and review project drawings and specifications. Provide technical guidance to clients.
• Proposal Preparation : Prepare project proposals with detailed pricing, timelines, and technical specs. Collaborate with internal teams for proposal information.
• Project Management : Coordinate with clients and internal teams throughout the project lifecycle to ensure successful implementation, timelines, and quality standards are met.
• Customer Facing: You will work with clients and sales on assessing physical conditions and space as well as technical specification to ensure custom machine project is well defined and engineering understands the specifics. Good communication and a positive representation of the company in front of clients is imperative.
• Market Research : Stay updated on industry trends and customer needs. Attend industry events to promote products.
• Reporting : Maintain records of project activities and statuses. Provide regular reports on project progress.

Qualifications :

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, or related field.
• 3+ years of experience in mechanical design /engineering, applications engineer, sales engineering, etc.
• Proficiency in 2D AutoCAD for facility and plant layouts.
• Desire to be client facing and willing to take on PM type duties for projects.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and project management skills.
• Willing to travel up to 20% of the time.
