What you will be doing:

  1. Create or enhance the service based on defined architecture, as well as requirements from R&D teams.
  2. Build a Site Reliability Engineering culture across the organization by sharing your best practices, approaches, documentation, and code with other engineering teams.
  3. Apply automation and software to any tasks or parts of the system that would benefit from it or are performed manually.
  4. Contribute to continuous delivery workflow as part of agile development.
  5. Monitor application performance; take steps to improve overall application performance and stability and follow through with implementation.
  6. Conduct system analysis, configuration management and develop improvements for system software performance, availability and reliability.
  7. Review how the service can be improved and make recommendations for further efficiencies.
  8. Work as part of a global team to improve the development process.
  9. Document your system knowledge as you acquire it over time, create runbooks, and ensure critical system information is readily available to those who need it.
  10. On-call duties.

You are a good match if you have:

  1. 2+ years of professional experience as a DevOps Engineer.
  2. Experience designing, deploying and managing container orchestration using Kubernetes.
  3. Experience with monitoring, alerting technologies and analyzing infrastructure performance using monitoring tools: Zabbix, Grafana, Prometheus.
  4. Working closely with our engineering teams to understand their product requirements and how they build/test/deploy their software applications.
  5. Experience with SRE & Agile methodologies / Demonstrated understanding of ITIL methodologies.
  6. Experience creating CI/CD pipelines and with associated tools: Jenkins, GitLab CI.
  7. Experience with source control tools: Git, GitLab, Gerrit.
  8. Ability to understand technical issues and challenges and provide technical recommendations for multiple platforms and programming languages.
  9. Ability to provide advice, best practices and recommendations for Operations.

Bonus Skills:

  1. Operate and maintain databases (MySQL, Postgres, Kafka, Elasticsearch).
  2. Experience programming in Java/Kotlin.
  3. Experience with public or private cloud.
  4. Experience in configuration management.
