Scrum Master

6+ Contract-to-Hire


Brooksource is in search of a Scrum Master for our Fortune 100 Financial Services company. You will be responsible for the following components:


Job Description :

  • Consult on complex initiatives with broad impact and large-scale planning for Scrum or Agile.
  • Review and analyze complex multi-faceted, larger scale, or longer-term Scrum Master challenges that require in-depth evaluation of multiple factors, including intangibles or unprecedented factors.
  • Contribute to the resolution of complex and multi-faceted situations requiring solid understanding of the function, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements that meet deliverables.
  • Strategically collaborate and consult with client personnel.
  • Understanding of how to effectively partner/ collaborate with key stakeholders to mature the acceptance of accelerated delivery.
  • Demonstrated reasonable level of technical and business understanding to optimize credibility with teams and managers.
  • Demonstrable experience and expertise driving engineering practices that includes not limited to TDD, BDD, Pair programming, CI/CD, Automation deployment.
  • Rigorous focus driving Unit testing and functional automation as part of DOD
  • Demonstrated understanding and practical experience with JIRA (and JIRA Portfolio)


Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of Scrum or Agile experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work or consulting experience, training, military experience, education.
  • Scrum Master Certification
  • Understanding of Alignment of Agile practices
  • Experience working in Compliance.
  • Excellent communication and ability to work across different levels and stakeholders.
  • Experience leading scrum or/and Kanban teams.
  • People Skills


Desired Skills:

  • Scaled Agile (SAFe, Scrum at Scale, LESS) experience.
  • Change Management (PROSCI, Kotter, etc)
  • Good understanding of Lean engineering practices
  • Guide the teams to follow Agile and Scrum practices to promote prioritization, team readiness, and commitment for each Sprint.
  • Optimize scrum team velocity to identify improvement opportunities to achieve higher levels of team performance.
  • Oversee systemic impediments to team agility and guide the teams on methods to escalate.
