Met-Con, Inc., a rapidly growing structural steel fabrication and erection company, is seeking a full-time Steel Material Handler for our Cocoa, Florida location. Job Description:
The Steel Material Handler will support the fabrication shop with various duties such as loading and unloading steel from trucks, operating an overhead crane, transferring steel to production tables, and operating a forklift. A successful candidate will also be able to perform rigging work to move material as required. The Steel Material Handler may also perform other duties as required to support the fabrication shop not specifically mentioned above.
General Requirements:
- Must be experienced operating overhead cranes.
- Load and unload structural steel outdoors.
- Must be experienced using and operating a forklift.
- Basic math skills are required.
- Work in compliance with Met-Con's safety policies and procedures.
- Work as part of a team to ensure achievement of Company goals.
- Must be able to stand on feet for up to 8 to 10 hours.
- Must be organized and can multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
