Qualifications
- Comprehension of principles/ practices of civil engineering.
- Understanding of approval and permitting process for civil projects, and the basic technical writing skills needed for civil reports and letters.
- Knowledge of codes and standards in civil design, including site layout, grading, erosion control, storm sewer, water, sanitary sewer, roadway, and fueling design.
- Proficiency in calculations and programs used in the design of civil systems and reports including, drainage, water, sanitary sewer, and roadway systems.
- Experience in concurrently managing multiple projects, schedules, and budgets.
The estimated starting base salary for this role is $85,000-$105,000.

Your Day to Day:
- Execute plan drafting using AutoCAD and Civil3D software.
- Adjust and correlate data, recognize discrepancies in results, and follow operations through a series of related and detailed steps or processes.
- Prepare improvement plans, specifications, supporting documents, and permit applications for subdivisions, commercial developments, multifamily developments, and public works projects.
- Assist in the preparation of calculations such as storm drain, wastewater, water system, earthwork quantities, transportation, cost estimates, and other supporting documentation for public and private projects.
- Take an active role in new business development.

Education
- Bachelor of Engineering from a four-year, board-approved engineering curriculum.
Experience
- Typically, a minimum of 4 years of civil engineering experience after educational requirements.
- 2 years or more of land development experience highly preferred.
- Possesses PE certification or eligible to take the PE exam within six months of hire.
