In this role, you will play a critical role in defining the product vision and strategy of benefits administration offerings. You will partner closely with sales, service, and implementation stakeholders to understand the opportunity space and bring back recommendations for product modernization. You will also be responsible for the roadmap planning and management of multiple existing product modules. While you will have an opportunity to lead a team of product managers under a specific portfolio of product, you will also have hands-on responsibilities to directly drive and execute the backlog of key product features. You will represent benefits product to our business leaders and client success leader to align on business objectives and be the key voice of our product direction.

To thrive in this role, you must take command of your product, lead multiple team's efforts, and be a deep listener who can ask the right clarifying questions to help understand the problem your stakeholders are trying to solve. You've worked with Agile teams and understand product delivery cycles. You have experience explaining the prioritization of a product roadmap, creating that roadmap, and documenting in a way that both external and internal teams will understand. You have held roles where you regularly communicate and defend ideas to a broad audience of stakeholders. TO SUCCEED IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL NEED:

  • A Bachelor’s degree OR equivalent. A Master’s degree is preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in building and enhancing Benefits Administration systems as an active product.
  • 3+ years of experience managing an agile design-driven, user-centered product and development team supporting the delivery of web/mobile-based product(s).
  • 3+ years of people leadership.
  • Strong understanding and experience with US Benefits Administration, Benefits Enrollments, Insurance Carrier Technology, Benefits Reporting, HCM Integrations, Carrier Billing, Dependent Verification Systems, Total Rewards, Federal and State Health Compliance.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Proven ability to partner effectively across functions, with an exposure to complex organizations and the ability to gain shared vision on product decisions and priority trade-offs.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

Leadership and Impact:

  • Lead and execute work of a multi-function project team through rapid, data-driven iterations focused on customer and stakeholder outcomes.
  • Collaborate alongside engineering design and business teams integrating customer insights with design best practices, building and deploying quality features.
  • Share views on issues and respectfully challenge decisions; once a decision is made, commit to deliver.
  • Begin to coach and help team execute on customer insights and data, acting as a source of knowledge for associates with less experience.
  • Work on Agile teams to drive story creation and prioritization, sprint planning, release planning, and be a core contributor in Agile/Scrum ceremonies.
  • Speak to the technology used in their product and have a view on new technologies.
  • Manage and lead a team of product managers and help in their personal and professional growth.

Product Strategy and Go-To-Market:

  • Collaborate with ADP’s Corporate Strategy team to help identify opportunities outside of ADP for acquisition targets, competitive positioning, and other needs.
  • Develop and communicate a strategic vision and roadmap for ADP Benefits Administration offerings that can support future scale, global expansion, and needs of future workers. Gather inputs from clients, internal business stakeholders, market experts, and competitive intelligence to provide your point of view and a recommended path to achieve the desired outcomes.
  • Champion a data-driven approach to decision-making, encouraging the use of analytics to inform strategic choices.
  • Partner with ADP’s product teams to learn our legacy products and find opportunities to surface existing capabilities to new customers.
  • Partner with product leaders in and across ADP’s portfolio of products, business stakeholders, and development teams at ADP.
  • Proactively adapt strategy to continually improve products through understanding business metrics and focus on product initiatives to drive results.

Customer Experience and Market Orientation:

  • Proactively plan around market and product evolution, based on anticipating customer needs and competitor moves.
  • Engage with clients to align on reporting and analytics priorities.
  • Gather and analyze feedback from clients, partners, and stakeholders to continuously improve our reporting tools.
  • Ensure client satisfaction by addressing any data-related issues and proactively enhancing the user experience.
  • Identify and propose new partnerships or acquisitions through knowledge and understanding of competitors and the market to broaden or enhance a product portfolio.
  • Define and communicate the vision for the end-to-end customer experience journey from sign-up to setup.
  • Partner with UX teams to design and run A/B tests and user research opportunities.
  • Stay informed and up-to-date with the industry trends, best practices, and emerging compliance changes in HCM reporting and analytics space.
  • Demonstrate products to customers, partners, and internal/external stakeholders.

Measurable Outcome Focus:

  • Ensure that clients have seamless access to extract their data through efficient, scalable processes.
  • Measure product effectiveness, identify trends, report outcomes, and drive priorities to improve product, measure success against product KPIs.
  • Clearly articulate and deliver the vision, strategies, priorities, and desired outcomes to key partners across ADP.
  • Proactively adapt strategy to continually improve products, propose new products and features that combine data from feedback resources, and prioritize features and create plans.

Execution:

  • Design and Solutions: Drive efforts to design the next generation of ADP Benefits Administration solutions by ensuring they are built for global scale, ease of implementation, self-serviceability, and superior client experience.
  • Scrums: Start each day working with teams to understand responsibilities, identify any issues, and communicate priorities. Continue to have meetings throughout the day as you create and organize your roadmap.
  • Research & Requirements: Own the design. Document and prioritize product features. Always learn and research new industry trends to make our products better. Incorporate what makes sense into your product roadmap based on our clients, the market, ADP's goals, and the impact of the future of tech on your products.
  • Technology: Work on technologies needed to integrate independent internal and partner products and fold those into bundled offerings while keeping the client experience seamless. Focus on building tools to bring efficiency in delivering service offerings to our clients. This will require familiarity and comfort with the latest technologies in the product integrations space.
  • Presentations: Speak to internal and external stakeholders to communicate and defend ideas while answering critical questions.
  • Variety of work: There is no typical day. Work with UX teams on client experience journeys to deliver new features, product enhancements, or create new services. Best part? You'll get to see those ideas come to life.
  • Stakeholder Relationships: Create strong alliances with diverse stakeholders and ensure everyone communicates appropriately. Collaborate across multiple teams with developers, other product managers, and UX teams to continually drive innovation and make the product the best it can be.
  • Partner Relationships: Establish, foster, and sustain strong working relationships with external partners to build valuable product offerings. Collaborate with product managers, project managers, and developers from multiple partner organizations to drive feature delivery.
