Anatolia is a leading importer and distributor of ceramic and stone tile and is a major supplier to some of the largest distributors throughout the United States and Canada. Based in Vaughan, Anatolia is a privately owned 100% Canadian corporation that is growing rapidly. Currently we are looking for an eager, motivated A&D specialist with a background in servicing and selling to the architecture and design community.
POSITION SCOPE:
Reporting to the Senior Director - Business Development Canada, the A&D Specialist will focus on creating & growing relationships with the top Architecture & Design firms in the GTA. You lead the charge to get Anatolia products specified with the A&D Community including influencers. You will collaborate with the Business Development Managers, fostering collaboration to uncover new business opportunities and drive growth. Your creative, consultative, technical demeanor and winning attitude will drive your success to advance our long-term relationships with current and potential customers.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES:
  • Bottom-Line Driven to develop plans and strategies to prospect for new clients
  • Monitor conversion and lead the effort to attain specification from Architect & Design Firms, Influencers as well as on major projects to become the leader in this space
  • Become a Trusted Advisor to Architects & Designers; Conduct Product Knowledge sessions and Lunch & Learns routinely to drive interest and create a credible presence in the market
  • Create Market awareness of Anatolia and place merchandising tools in A&D libraries
  • Achieve growth targets by positioning Anatolia as the leading choice on specified projects
  • Create & maintain high level relationship with the top A&D Firms based in the GTA
  • Conducting business development and presentation meetings
  • Develop deep relationships with the A&D community to build relationships through event planning, coordination and hosting knowledge sharing sessions to foster Anatolia product growth within this channel
  • Partnering with Marketing teams to showcase products in various marketing campaigns and promotional events
  • Applies creative problem solving and transforming concepts into tangible products or services, furthering organizational objectives
  • Fully understands Anatolia's critical challenges and leads the effort to address them while leveraging our competitive strengths
  • Accurately summarizes business and financial data, and consistently applies that information problem Solving and Decision Quality
  • Probes deeply into issues to fully identify critical problems and root causes
  • Understand customer needs and developing and executing sales/marketing strategies with precision and effectiveness for the timely attainment of deliverables and growth
  • Attend industry functions, association events and tradeshows, and provide feedback and information on market and creative trends, deliver presentations for potential clients, and assist as required with preparing and submitting formal documentation, specifications, etc.
  • Collaborate with all departments and take full ownership of the end-to-end sales cycle and manage your pipeline and activities utilizing a CRM (Salesforce)
  • Promotes ethical conduct in interactions with others, follows through on commitments
  • Maintains current in the industry and executes a hands-on approach in establishing connections and partnerships with key strategic players at every level
  • Collaborates with internal and external channel teams to develop and execute channel strategy and programs
  • Understands Anatolia's value proposition and has the ability to explain the strategic advantages Anatolia offers.
REQUIREMENTS:
  • Post-Secondary education from an accredited University or equivalent experience, MBA considered a strong asset
  • 3 - 5 years business development experience in the A&D community
  • Previous CRM experience, Salesforce preferred
  • Experience within a similar industry preferred
  • Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail, a proven sales process combined with an impressive reputation
  • Proven track record of successfully influencing, managing projects and growing accounts through the application of strong knowledge in business development, sales, marketing and business analysis
  • Exceptional negotiation & persuasion skills that demonstrate your ability to close deals and grow the business
  • Enthusiastic, self-motivated, business-oriented, and passionate selling high value products to customers
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with strong business acumen
  • Highly attentive to details, with exceptional organization and planning skills and ability to deliver results against deadlines
  • 50%+ travel to customer locations and industry related conferences
