Job: HVAC Controls Technician
Duration: Full time
Job Description:
Troubleshoot, repair and installation of direct digital control systems.
Provide engineering support for new projects and retrofits.
Must have knowledge of HVAC mechanical systems and electronics and be capable of modifying program algorithms for DDC systems.
Must have the ability to communicate with all levels of our sales team, contractors and customers to assist in providing controls solutions and service support.
Must have the ability to create and implement front-end graphics for user interface.
Analyze problems and resolve issues to ensure the automation system functions properly.
Coordinate and perform customer training and ensure timely completion of all projects.
Provide technical support and direction to end-users and employees when applicable.
Qualifications:
Vocational School program or an associate degree in electronics, mechanical systems, computer technology, air conditioning or five years of industry experience in servicing electronic and/or mechanical systems in the HVAC industry.
Some flexibility to work overtime/weekends. Proficient in reading wiring diagrams.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
General understanding of IP networks.
Occasional travel may be required.
Must be familiar with various hand and power tools.
Experience:
Minimum 3 years of experience with Lonworks and/or BACnet Control Systems, ABB Cylone, Honeywell, Disctech, JCI FX, TRIDIUM and NIAGARA 4 is beneficial.
