Title: Senior Logistics Manager
Location: Houston, TX
Salary: $130,000 - $163,000Schedule: Hybrid schedule available of up to 2 days remote per weekRelocation Available
Focus: The Senior Logistics Manager is responsible for managing all aspects of the North American truck and terminal options. The Senior Logistics Manager will ensure safe delivery and attentive product stewardship by the customer, maintain excellent customer service levels and investigate all service failures, and be responsible for optimization of the Olin terminal network.
Senior Logistics Manager Essential Functions:
  • Manages staff of specialists accountable for third party carrier management, trucking dispatch, customer service, terminal options, and overall environmental, health, and safety (EHS) performance.
  • Develops and leads strategic initiatives for product distribution while also reviewing data and developing key performance indicators for the Logistics Department.
  • Supports continuous improvement and operational excellence throughout the Logistics Department including cost savings and cost avoidance activities.
  • Troubleshoots service failures, identifies failure root cause, and develops corrective actions to resolve issues.
  • Tracks, reviews and reports distribution incidents and ensures compliance with EHS policies.
  • Works with procurement for all vendor related support for trucking and terminal options; coordinates with other functions in Integrated Supply Chain to ensure seamless and efficient product delivery.
Senior Logistics Manager Position Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree*; Engineering or Logistics strongly preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years of production, logistics or transportation related experience in a manufacturing/industrial work setting; chemical industry preferred
  • Ability to interface with all levels of the organization and domestic authorities, as well as industry (transportation and chemicals) organizations
  • Working knowledge of Federal, state and local transportation regulations and requirements to include DOT, FMCSA, OSHA, as well as Hazardous Chemical (HAZMAT) domestic transportation
  • Understanding of third-party logistics providers and pricing structures
  • High awareness to detail with strong decision-making ability and creative problem skills
  • Prior Olin experience in a relevant position preferred
