Qualifications
A C Recycle Recovery Certificate within 90 days of employment
Four ASE Certifications in area of assignment. OR Any combination of verifiable industry or manufacturer specific certifications will be considered, at the department's discretion, in lieu of ASE Certifications when applicable. ASE Certifications will be required within 12 months of employment
Knowledge of tools, methods, and practices of vehicle maintenance and repair
knowledge of electrical automotive systems
Knowledge of vehicle diagnostic principles

Skills in reading schematics

Functions
Area of Responsibilities
Performs complex diagnosis of vehicles using computer systems
Fabricates and maintains emergency vehicle equipment
Completes services records for work performed, including documenting labor and parts utilized
Inputs, retrieves, and reviews task information and cost details
Diagnoses and repairs computer controlled electrical fuel injection and emission systems
Responds to emergency road assistance calls for disabled emergency vehicles and equipment
Performs preventative maintenance on vehicles
Operates specialized shop vehicles and equipment
Performs other duties of a similar nature or level
Compliance Statement
Employee performs within the prescribed limits of Tanner Health System's Ethics and Compliance program. Is responsible to detect, observe, and report compliance variances to their immediate supervisor, the Compliance Officer, or the Hotline.
