Overview:
Regional business development and payor relationship leader. Responsible for the development and execution of the company strategy for increasing access to third-party payors’ members. This leader directs a team of specialized account executives and account managers in negotiating payor contracts, securing new contracts (Health Plans and Integrated Delivery Networks) and delivering on value-based contracting initiatives.
Responsibilities:
- Hire, train, coach and develop Account Executives and Account Managers to achieve primary purpose of Health Plan and Integrated Delivery Network client retention, contract renewals, price increases and contract-related initiatives.
- Develop, grow and strengthen key account relationships with regional and national payors both personally and through a team of Account Executives.
- Translate the national Health Plan and Integrated Delivery Network strategies into tactics and plans for the region.
- Achieve all business results for improving access, pricing, renewals, and new contracts.
- Collaborate effectively with Operations to find solutions to meet customer needs and to resolve service issues.
- Partner with regional leaders to create effective strategies for new contracts and renewals.
Qualifications:
Required Work Experience:
- Eight plus years in account management or business development with third party payors.
Preferred Work Experience:
- Combination of sales, sales management, contracting and financial modeling.
Physical and Mental Requirements:
- Long periods sitting, working at computer, attention to detail.
Knowledge:
- Health plan and other key payer knowledge.
- Business Development.
- Building strategic relationships.
EDUCATION:
Bachelor’s Degree (Required). Master’s Degree.
LICENSE/CERTIFICATIONS:
Valid driver’s license (Required).
