Armand Corporation, an award-winning M/WBE Construction Management firm celebrating over 33 years in the industry, is seeking a full-time Procurement Coordinator  with civil experience relating to railways/transit in the New York City, NY & Newark, NJ  area.

The ideal candidate has 5  years  of experience in the procurement of government contracts in a construction setting, as well as a Bachelor's Degree  from an accredited college or university with a major in business administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.

This is a full-time, on-site position in New York, NY .
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES  include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Prepare and issue competitive solicitations for construction, consultant services, and goods and services.
  • Track productivity and technical execution of assigned procurement staff.
  • Assign and reassign staff to meet company and project needs.
  • Work together with procurement team, suppliers, vendors, and contractors to ensure the efficient and sustainable implementation of project management procedures across large-scale civil construction projects.
  • Coordinate and facilitate the procurement process; collaborating with clients, project management, and other departments as needed.
  • Assist in the development of procurement policies and procedures. 
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders to identify and define procurement requirements and specifications. 
  • Prioritize conflicting needs; handle matters expeditiously; and follow through on projects to successful completion.
  • Other related duties and tasks as required
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in business administration, Supply Chain Management, or related required, advanced degree is a plus.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in the procurement of government contracts in a construction setting.
  • Experience with federal (FTA and FRA) and state procurement regulations and procedures.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and procurement software. 
  • Prior experience with rail, tunnel, structural, station, or soil construction is preferred.
  • Ability to pass a TWIC and/or SWAC Background Check at High Level.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
