Job Description

The Department of Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery at the University of Missouri is seeking a Patient Account Representative to provide essential administrative support to our Audiology Clinic. This role involves a range of clerical tasks focused on organization, coordination, and communication, ensuring efficient operation and exceptional patient care.

Duties and Responsibilities:


Patient Interaction: Serve as the first point of contact for general inquiries, walk-in audiology patients, and minor hearing aid repairs. Provide exceptional customer service and support.

Correspondence Coordination: Manage program correspondence, including mailing reports and letters to patients.

Data Management: Perform data entry and maintain accurate patient information in charts. Ensure confidentiality and accuracy in handling sensitive materials.

Additional Duties: Perform other related tasks and responsibilities as assigned by the Audiology Manager to support the efficient operation of the Audiology Clinic.

Qualification Preferences:


-Experience in a healthcare administrative role or similar field is preferred.
-Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to handle confidential information.
-Excellent communication skills and a commitment to providing exceptional patient experience.
-Ability to manage multiple tasks and work effectively in a team environment.

Shift

Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m

Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma or an equivalent combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities can be acquired.
Two (2) years of clerical experience; education may be used in lieu of experience.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in patient accounts, medical office, or bookkeeping.
Effective communication, time management, analytical, and computer skills.
Additional license/certification requirements as determined by the hiring department.

Anticipated Hiring Range

Hiring Range: $14.80 - $22.00 an hour
