Job Title: Structural DrafterJob DescriptionA small consultant in the Wilmington market is looking for a remote Drafter & Design professional to join their team in the office or remotely.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:• Development of all Bills of Material (BOMs) within Excel and/or secondary platforms.• Make structural plans and detailed drawings.• Follow budget requirements and guidelines.• Create accurate project specifications.• Complete regulatory documents concerning safety issues.• Finish projects on time and accurately.• Ability to communicate consistently and professionally with clients and coworkers.• Confirm the scope of projects.SkillsAbility to apply current industry/code standards and informationPrepare building models and interpret contract documentsParticipate in the development of project specifications and their coordination with the production of structural drawingsParticipate in reviewing completed reports, submittals, drawings, and calculations for accuracyUtilize and encourage the best use of design software/technology for presentation and production purposes, including Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp, and other emerging technologiesKnowledge of the architectural/engineering design and documentation process, trends in the design and construction industries, construction methodology, sustainability, material application, and manufacturer-supplier appropriatenessKnowledge of metal building systemsExperience with the quality assurance/quality control (QA/QC) processesKnowledge of building codes and ability to research and apply/incorporate them into technical documentsAbility to coordinate and integrate work with engineers, construction administrators, and other members of a project teamAbility to communicate consistently and professionally with clients and coworkersAbout ActalentActalent is a global leader in engineering and sciences services and talent solutions.
