Immigration Associate Attorney

Job Overview: A law firm in Denver, CO is seeking an Immigration Associate Attorney with experience and a demonstrated interest in appellate work, affirmative petitions, and removal defense. Duties:

• Manage a diverse caseload including Cancellation of Removal, Adjustment of Status, Asylum, and other related immigration matters.
• Prepare and file appellate briefs, affirmative petitions, and responses to removal proceedings.
• Collaborate with a dedicated bilingual support staff to provide comprehensive client service.
• Conduct detailed legal research and draft legal documents relevant to immigration cases.
• Represent clients before immigration courts and agencies.
• Maintain accurate and organized case files, ensuring timely and effective case management.
• Stay current on immigration laws and policies to provide informed legal advice.

Requirements:

• Experience in appellate work, affirmative petitions, and/or removal defense.
• Proven ability to manage a caseload independently while working collaboratively within a team.
• Demonstrated professionalism, strong interpersonal skills, and attention to detail.
• Spanish language proficiency is a plus.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Active state bar license in good standing.
