We offer merchants an end-to-end payments solution that provides authorization and settlement capabilities, as well as instant access to funds and payouts. We also help merchants connect with their customers, process exchanges and returns, and manage risk. We enable consumers to engage in cross-border shopping and merchants to extend their global reach while reducing the complexity and friction involved in enabling cross-border trade.

Job Description Summary:

The fintech ecosystem is undergoing change at an unprecedented rate, and the Strategy team is responsible for helping PayPal’s leadership to make the big decisions that will guide the company’s future. We are looking for a Strategy Intern to join the Corporate Strategy team to drive strategy development, execution and thought leadership in high priority areas of the business.

Job Description:

Activities:

  • Strategy development: Support the development of PayPal’s strategy, and long-term strategic priorities
  • Strategic execution: Support strategic projects core to the strategy of PayPal into the execution phase. Help to develop documents to facilitate cross-functional and cross-regional team discussions as well as communicate with Senior Management.
  • Research and analysis: Conduct and/or lead key qualitative (e.g., primary research, synthesis of secondary data sources) and quantitative (e.g., Excel modelling) analysis in support of deliverables
  • Thought leadership: Support the team in developing and articulating PayPal’s position on long-term strategic issues.

Required skills/experience:

  • Currently pursuing Bachelor’s degree from accredited college or university in a quantitative field preferred
  • Strategic expertise in at least one of the following areas: banking, payments, retail and online commerce, social networking, and mobile
  • Experience in strategy consulting, investment banking, and/or corporate strategy a plus
  • Appetite to learn and comfort with uncertainty.

Internship Program Information and Requirements:

  • This is a Summer 2025 Internship program. Spring and Fall 2025 internships are not available.
  • Must currently be pursuing Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a related field from an accredited college or university.
  • Must be returning to school in the Fall of 2025.
  • Must reside in the U.S. during the Summer internship program.
  • Must be able to obtain authorization to work in the U.S. for the summer.

The U.S national annual pay range for this role is: $15/hr to $41/hr.
