Corporate Sales Manager

Job Summary

Under the direction of the Corporate Director of Sales and/or Area Operations Manager(s), the Sales Manager generates new sales, maintains and services existing customer base, and achieves the budgeted revenue goals for the hotel(s) to which they are assigned.


Responsibilities

  1. Assist in developing sales and marketing plans for assigned properties
  2. Provide sales training to staff of hotel as applicable
  3. Analyze revenue management strategy using such tools as Star Reports, demand analysis and applicable front office systems
  4. Schedule sales appointments
  5. Conduct required amount of solicitation calls
  6. Organize, maintain, and track sales data
  7. Complete requests of General Manager, CDOS and other management personnel, as applicable
  8. Send weekly recap of all sales activity and assigned follow-up action items to CDOS
  9. Participate in Sales conference calls as deemed necessary
  10. Perform essential functions of Director of Sales/Sales Manager/Sales Leader in their absence
  11. Travel to properties and overnight stays may be required depending on assignment and sales needs
  12. Maintain good rapport with clients. Work closely with clients to coordinate details and special requests
  13. Send appropriate collateral and direct calls to sales management staff as necessary
  14. Give site tours when needed
  15. Coordinate the delivery of requested equipment and food for meeting rooms with other departments, when necessary
  16. Go on sales calls and blitzes with Sales Department and serve as a point of contact to all hotel accounts if necessary
  17. All other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  1. Requires a minimum of 2 year(s) of hospitality sales and or management experience.
  2. Ability to organize multiple projects; manage and prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  3. Excellent communication skills – ability to write routine reports and correspondence, ability to speak effectively in a group setting.
  4. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to maintain confidentiality.
  5. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
  6. Must have experience with properties of similar size and quality.
