THE POSITION
The Department of General Services is searching for a Clerical Assistant 2 who will support the DGS managed buildings by monitoring the mechanical systems via software programs and conduct various tasks within the Department's work order system.

Responsibilities of this position include monitoring building management software systems for alerts and responds according to predesignated decision criteria. The Clerical Assistant 2 will provide administrative and communication support for Commonwealth entities and the Department's work order system. Once received, the CA2 will acknowledge, record and create work orders for alerts received from the building Management systems and the Capital Police, security or other reporting entities.
The CA2 will also prepare and format correspondence, reports, forms, and other documents in draft and final form.
Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full time employment.
- Shift Work: Available shifts include: 7:00am to 3:00pm, 3:00pm to 11:00pm, and 11:00pm to 7:00am, Sunday - Saturday, with a 30-minute lunch.
- This position is considered an essential employee required to report to work during emergencies and office closings.
- Salary: Selected candidates who are new to employment within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $35,306 (before taxes).

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- Six months as a Clerical Assistant 1 (commonwealth title); or
- Graduation from high school; or
- An equivalent combination of experience and training.
Additional Requirements:
- You must possess a valid Pennsylvania driver's license.
- You must have the ability to work shifts:
1st shift (7:00 AM - 3:00 PM), 2nd shift (3:00 PM - 11:00 PM) and 3rd shift (11:00 PM - 7:00 AM) - Sunday - Saturday - You must be able to perform essential job functions.
