Job Title: IT Director

Job Summary:

The Director of IT is responsible for overseeing the technological infrastructure, ensuring that the IT systems and operations are secure, reliable, and aligned with Century's business objectives. This leadership role involves managing IT staff, establishing IT policies, planning and executing IT projects, and maintaining the organization’s hardware, software, and network resources. The Director of IT also ensures that the organization remains on the cutting edge of technology, enhances productivity, and meets industry compliance requirements. The position will be fully on-site in Pewaukee, Wisconsin.

Responsibilities

  1. Strategic IT Leadership:
    • Develop and implement IT strategies aligned with the organization's business goals.
    • Advise senior management on IT solutions and initiatives to improve efficiency and productivity.
    • Ensure the alignment of IT infrastructure with business processes and long-term goals.
  2. IT Infrastructure Management:
    • Oversee the organization’s hardware, software, networking, and data storage needs.
    • Ensure the availability, performance, and security of IT systems, including backups and disaster recovery plans.
    • Plan and manage the upgrade, maintenance, and replacement of IT resources.
  3. Team Leadership & Development:
    • Manage and mentor the IT team, ensuring professional development and technical growth.
    • Allocate resources effectively, manage workloads, and promote collaboration across teams.
    • Lead recruitment, training, and performance evaluations for IT personnel.
  4. Cybersecurity & Compliance:
    • Develop and enforce IT security policies to protect the organization’s data and infrastructure.
    • Ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards.
    • Monitor potential security threats and establish protocols for mitigating risks.
  5. Project Management:
    • Lead IT-related projects from conception to completion, ensuring on-time and on-budget delivery.
    • Collaborate with departments to identify their IT needs and deliver solutions.
    • Manage vendor relationships, contracts, and service-level agreements (SLAs).
  6. Budgeting & Cost Management:
    • Develop and manage the IT budget, ensuring cost efficiency without compromising performance.
    • Make recommendations for capital expenditures and track IT spending.
    • Evaluate and negotiate contracts with vendors for hardware, software, and services.
  7. Innovation & Emerging Technologies:
    • Stay informed about emerging technologies and trends that can benefit the organization.
    • Lead digital transformation initiatives, adopting new tools and processes to improve business operations.
    • Encourage innovation and experimentation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
  • Experience: 8-10 years of experience in IT management, with at least 3-5 years in a leadership role.
  • Proven experience in IT infrastructure management, security protocols, and project management.
  • Skills:
    • Strong leadership and team management skills.
    • Extensive knowledge of IT systems, infrastructure, and emerging technologies.
    • Strong understanding of cybersecurity best practices and compliance requirements.
    • Proficiency in IT budgeting, cost management, and vendor negotiations.
    • Excellent communication skills, both technical and non-technical.
    • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
  • Certifications (Optional but Preferred):
    • Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)
    • Certified Information Security Manager (CISM)
    • Project Management Professional (PMP)
    • ITIL (Information Technology Infrastructure Library) Certification

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00 - $100.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
