Position Overview:

We are looking for a Business Analyst with extensive experience in healthcare information technology projects, specifically in large-scale implementations. The candidate must have a minimum of 6 years of experience as a business analyst in healthcare IT, with strong knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics 365 . The role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams, defining business requirements, and aligning healthcare IT solutions with industry standards such as HIPAA, FHIR, HL7, and other relevant frameworks.


Key Responsibilities:

  1. Healthcare IT Project Expertise:
  • Lead and manage large-scale healthcare IT projects, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure that the solution aligns with business and regulatory requirements.
  • Act as a key liaison between healthcare providers, IT teams, and other stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical specifications.
  • Facilitate workshops and meetings with business stakeholders to gather requirements, identify gaps, and define project scope.


  1. Business Requirements Gathering:
  • Engage with stakeholders to understand their needs and requirements, focusing on healthcare processes, clinical workflows, and patient management systems.
  • Collaborate with the development team to create detailed functional and technical specifications, ensuring that solutions comply with healthcare regulations such as HIPAA , HITECH , ICD-10 , and others.
  • Develop Business Requirement Documents (BRDs) and Functional Requirement Documents (FRDs) to guide the design and development of healthcare IT solutions.


  1. Microsoft Dynamics 365 Integration:
  • Lead initiatives involving the design, development, and integration of Microsoft Dynamics 365 for healthcare organizations, ensuring that it meets the unique needs of the healthcare domain.
  • Analyze existing healthcare workflows and design solutions within Microsoft Dynamics 365 to streamline patient management, billing, scheduling, and other critical processes.
  • Oversee Dynamics 365 implementation projects, including system configuration, customization, and user acceptance testing (UAT).


  1. Healthcare Information Technology Knowledge:
  • Apply knowledge of healthcare standards and protocols such as FHIR, HL7, ICD-10, CPT , and others to ensure seamless integration of clinical and operational systems.
  • Develop solutions to integrate healthcare systems, including Electronic Medical Records (EMRs) , Electronic Health Records (EHRs) , and Practice Management Systems (PMS) .
  • Ensure that data workflows and exchange systems comply with healthcare regulations, security standards, and data governance policies.


  1. Data Analysis and Reporting:
  • Leverage data analytics to provide insights into patient care, operational efficiencies, and business performance.
  • Design custom reports and dashboards within Microsoft Dynamics 365 to monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), clinical outcomes, and financial metrics for healthcare providers.
  • Collaborate with data architects to create scalable data models that support reporting needs across the organization.


  1. System Optimization and Process Improvement:
  • Identify inefficiencies in current healthcare systems and propose innovative solutions using Microsoft Dynamics 365 and other healthcare IT platforms.
  • Work with development teams to implement automation and process improvements that improve operational efficiency and reduce costs for healthcare providers.
  • Provide recommendations for workflow optimization, focusing on patient experience, clinician efficiency, and healthcare outcomes.


  1. Stakeholder Communication and Collaboration:
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders, including hospital administrators, clinicians, and IT teams, to define project goals and deliverables.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to leadership by providing regular project updates, including project risks, milestones, and progress.
  • Conduct stakeholder meetings and presentations to explain the business requirements and ensure that all parties are aligned with project objectives.


  1. Training and Support:
  • Provide training and support to healthcare users, ensuring that they are well-versed in using Microsoft Dynamics 365 and any other implemented solutions.
  • Develop user manuals, training materials, and documentation to facilitate knowledge transfer and successful adoption of new systems.
  • Assist in troubleshooting and resolving user issues, ensuring that healthcare systems function effectively in a clinical setting.


Qualifications:

  • Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Informatics, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. Advanced degrees or certifications in healthcare IT (e.g., CPHIMS , CBAP ) are preferred.


  • Experience:
  • Minimum of 6+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, with a significant focus on healthcare information technology.
  • Proven experience working on large-scale healthcare IT projects, including systems implementation, upgrades, and integration.
  • Hands-on experience working with Microsoft Dynamics 365 for healthcare, including configuration, customization, and integration with other healthcare systems.


  • Technical Skills:
  • Strong understanding of healthcare information systems, including EHRs , EMRs , PMS , and other healthcare data platforms.
  • Experience with healthcare data standards such as HL7 , FHIR , CDA , ICD-10 , and CPT .
  • Expertise in using Microsoft Dynamics 365 to improve healthcare workflows, including patient management, billing, scheduling, and reporting.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve complex healthcare IT challenges.


  • Soft Skills:
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment, driving projects to successful completion.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certifications in Microsoft Dynamics 365 , CBAP , or CPHIMS .
  • Experience working with cloud-based healthcare solutions and integrations (e.g., Azure or AWS ).
  • Familiarity with healthcare analytics platforms and tools for reporting and data visualization.
