JOB SUMMARY
Boys & Girls Clubs of Indianapolis (BGCI) is seeking a full-time Program Director to oversee the PIVOT Re-Engagement Center. The Re-Engagement Center is located at BGCI's Finish Line facility, which serves young adults, ages 16-24, from the Far Eastside of Indianapolis who are not enrolled in school and are not a part of the workforce. The re-engagement programs are offered from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. during the school year, and from 7:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. during school breaks and summer. This is a salaried position with full benefits, requiring 40 hours per week of service. Occasional weekend hours may be required.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide young adults with a safe community space.
- Provide mentorship to young adults to address life, career, and workforce development barriers.
- Develop partnerships with local providers to offer jobs, job training, and workforce development opportunities.
- Supervise a full-time Case Manager and part-time team members responsible for implementing programs.
- Lead staff in planning and implementing weekly recreational, educational, and workforce development programs, as well as outreach and recruitment events.
- Measure and evaluate the effectiveness of activities and events, making program adjustments as necessary.
- Document and record participation in programs and services in MyClubHub web-based platform.
- Participate in cleaning and maintaining facilities and equipment.
- Inspect the program site and equipment for potential safety hazards, taking corrective action to prevent injuries.
- Participate in staff meetings and ongoing training opportunities.
- Comply with all BGCI policies and procedures.
- Perform related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of two years college, AA degree, or certified physical education trainer.
- One year experience working with youth of various cultures in an organized setting.
- Background/Fingerprint Clearance.
