Job Title: Operations Manager

Location: Midtown (3 days onsite, 2 days remote)

Hours: 40 hours per week


Organization Overview: We are a dedicated nonprofit organization in Manhattan. We strive to make a positive impact in our community and are looking for an Operations Manager to join our dynamic team. This role is essential in supporting our operational efforts and ensuring our initiatives run smoothly.


Position Summary: The Operations Manager will play a key role in managing various administrative functions to support our fundraising efforts and overall organizational operations. This position will involve scheduling, volunteer management, grant uploads, social media support, and event coordination, contributing to the success of our mission.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Fundraising Support: Assist in planning and executing fundraising events coordinating logistics, and managing registrations.
  • CEO Support: Manage the CEO’s calendar, schedule appointments, and arrange speaking engagements.
  • Board Meetings: Organize and schedule board meetings, prepare agendas, and ensure necessary materials are distributed in advance.
  • Volunteer Management: Recruit, train, and manage volunteers for various projects and events.
  • Meetings Coordination: Schedule and facilitate internal meetings, taking notes and ensuring action items are followed up on.
  • Subscriptions Management: Oversee annual subscriptions, ensuring timely renewals and payments.
  • Discretionary Funds Management: Assist in tracking and managing discretionary funds as needed.
  • Grant Management: Upload grant applications and documentation into the organization’s systems, ensuring compliance and organization.
  • Social Media Support: Assist in managing and creating content for the organization’s social media platforms to enhance visibility and engagement.
  • Event Coordination: Support event logistics and execution for key fundraising events, ensuring a seamless experience for attendees.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
  • Previous experience in an operations or administrative role, preferably in a nonprofit setting.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with database management.
  • Familiarity with social media platforms and basic content creation.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
