Samba TV is seeking a Chief of Staff (COS) who can autonomously execute and operate in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. This role is pivotal in helping shape and implement our business strategy. Reporting directly to our CEO, Ashwin Navin, you will support key initiatives and ensure effective communication within the executive team and throughout the company. You’ll be a consultant, operator, and trusted advisor on key initiatives for the company and will ensure essential information to the executive team and beyond is synthesized and streamlined effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and disseminate insights and KPIs: interpret data generated from our products and teams to help unlock opportunities for growth.
  • Support Executive Prioritization: Assist in setting monthly and quarterly priorities for the executive team, facilitating resource alignment to meet objectives.
  • Execute on CEO’s Special Initiatives with Cross-Team Coordination: Work with various teams and counterparts across the company to execute high priority projects and manage executive involvement in key initiatives, planning sessions, and business reviews.
  • Strategic Advising: Provide support and insights to the leadership team, ensuring operational excellence across all business functions.
  • Communication Planning: Help plan and execute communication strategies for customer and partner engagements, and internal initiatives, ensuring impactful use of the team's time.
  • Problem-Solving: Identify issues that impede success and provide recommendations for solutions, fostering cross-group collaboration and synergies.
  • Board Meeting Preparation: Help prepare documents and coordinate with key executives for Board meetings.

Requirements

  • Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze and interpret data to make informed recommendations and drive process optimization.
  • Data Analysis: Experience with data visualization tools (Tableau, Datorama, Google Data Studio, or similar platforms).
  • AI Knowledge: Understanding of recent AI models and their applications for insights, content and data analysis.
  • Communication Skills: Experience in presentation, meeting planning, and communication across various audiences.
  • Growth Mindset: Solution-driven with a strong desire to learn and grow.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, strategy, or a related field.
  • Experience: 3+ years of relevant experience in consulting, project management, or a similar field.
  • Technical + Design Skills: Familiarity with Python, SQL/R, scripting languages, data visualization and analysis in Excel. When necessary, ability to present information in clear, beautiful and polished PowerPoint.
  • Communication: Concise, persuasive, and authentic in both verbal and written communication.
  • Integrity: Strong judgment, confidentiality, and sophistication in all aspects of work.
  • Collaboration: Committed to in-office presence (4-5 days/week).
  • Travel: Home base in San Francisco or New York, with the ability to spend up to 2 weeks a month (50%) traveling without hesitation – across the US, UK, Europe and APAC.

Bonus

  • Banking or Consulting Experience: Previous, early career experience in investment banking or consulting.
  • Product Management: Previous experience with product management, with strong emphasis on project management, prioritization and cross-team collaboration.

$140,000 - $200,000 a year

Samba TV expects to offer a base salary between $140,000 - $200,000 per year for roles to be performed in San Francisco or New York City; actual base salary offered will depend on various factors, including but not limited to, location, experience, and performance. Base salary is just one component of Samba TV’s total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include bonuses, short-term incentives, and long-term incentives. In addition, Samba provides health insurance, wellness offerings, life and disability insurance, a retirement savings plan, paid holidays and paid time off (PTO), and other employee benefits.
