We are currently looking for a Retail Products Business Manager for the US Sales team in Reagent Partnerships. This position could be located anywhere on the Eastern seaboard – NYC, New Jersey, Boston, etc.
The Position:
The Retail Products Business Manager will be part of our US Sales team reporting to the General Manager, Americas. Reagent Partnership Division endeavors to develop, manufacture, and sell clinical diagnostic products directly to our customers as well as OEM (B2B) sales to many of the world’s largest IVD companies. Our products are ASR or IVD-approved clinical diagnostic products that serve the Clinical Immunochemistry (specific proteins) and general antibody market spaces (e.g., flow cytometry, ELISA, etc.).
Primary Responsibilities:
Responsible for business and customer management of retail product customers within your region:
- Responsible and accountable for sales targets within clinical accounts, corporate accounts, and research accounts.
- Coordinating activities for the Customer Facing Team (Sales & Scientific Support) at key customer visits.
- Implementation, maintenance, monitoring, and success of sales and marketing campaigns.
- Prospecting for strategic partnerships (contract creation, opportunity seeking, business visits, and customer reporting).
- Coordinating activities within the US commercial team and other parts of Reagent Partnerships as they pertain to the US retail products business.
- Develop and maintain necessary knowledge of the retail products market and the value proposition associated with key products.
- Maintenance of information in Salesforce.com according to guidelines.
Travel:
Majority of travel will be within the western US region with the expectation of at least 60-70 days of travel per year. It is further expected that all key customers are visited 2-3 times annually.
Basic Qualifications:
Required skill sets:
- Be based in greater Los Angeles, San Francisco, or Seattle metropolitan markets.
- Documented experience in business-to-business sales.
- Documented success in achieving and exceeding established sales targets.
- Sales/commercial interest and experience (minimum 3-5 years).
- Bachelor's Degree in sales, business, biological science, or other related field; MBA preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of experience within clinical chemistry or other scientific/technical background.
- Excellent in both spoken and written English; other languages are a plus.
- Proficient with IT systems (e.g., Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Microsoft Word, Salesforce.com, etc.).
