In this role, you will work with client facing and internal Composition teams to check the accuracy of all documents received for conversion and revision. Travel is limited and generally used for team learning and collaboration meetings.Responsibilities:Perform a full quality check on various types of financial documents at the time of creation, as well as after various changes from the client, before they are filed with the SEC (Securities and Exchange Commission) and/or printedCompare converted documents to the original documents received from the client, ensuring that the text matchesProofread and verify that spelling, grammar, style, and alignment are correct and consistent throughout (including job numbers, page numbers, headings, etc.)Make sure all logos are correct and of the highest qualityMark identified changes directly on the printed PDF proofQualifications:1-2 years of experience in Proofreading is preferred, or a degree in English or similar fieldHigh level of skill in written English including spelling, grammar, and punctuationSelf-motivated to work efficiently and meet deadlinesAbility to stay focused throughout an entire document, which may be long and technicalGood interpersonal skills to build working relationships with co-workers and internal clientsConfidence with computers and a strong command of Microsoft Office SuiteComfortable working with high-volumes, and capable of maintaining a fast paceAbility to work flexible working hours during seasonal periodsThe compensation rate for this position is $22.00 per hour.
