**Job Title:** Registered Nurse
**Job Specialty:** ICU RN (Intensive Care Unit)
**Job Duration:** 13 weeks
**Shift:** 12H Days - weekends/holidays based on unit need + call (only if unit is closed)
**Guaranteed Hours:** 36 hours per week
**Experience:** Minimum of 1 year(s)
**License:** Required
**Certifications:** ACLS, BLS, PALS
**Must-Have:**
- ICU drips, sedation, intubation and management experience
- Ability to read cardiac rhythms
- Understanding of RT equipment
**Job Description:**
- Work in a 4-bed ICU with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:2.
- Care for patients ranging from newborns to geriatrics, with conditions such as DKA, Sepsis, Respiratory failure, ETOH withdrawal, and A fib RVR.
- Titrate and manage common drips like Insulin and Diltiazem.
- Utilize the Meditech EMR system.
- Responsible for reading and interpreting telemetry/monitor strips, as there are no dedicated Tele/Monitor Techs.
- Understand and manage RT equipment, especially at night when RT is not in-house unless there is an intubated patient.
- Work without a Charge Nurse or nurse aides/patient care techs on shift.
- Consult with EICU for all ICU patients, as there is no Intensivist; Hospitalist is available during the day.
- Participate in rotating shifts: 7a-7p, 7p-7a.
- Schedule is determined based on unit needs by staffing assistant.
- Must adhere to the Caribbean Blue scrub color/dress code.
- Orientation includes 2-3 shifts of unit/department-specific training.
Please note that candidates must not be full-time, part-time, or PRN with any associated facility and must follow a 50-mile radius rule. RTO should be submitted upfront; additional requests will not be approved. The cancellation policy allows for up to 3 shifts per 13-week contract.
