Position Overview

The Senior Vice President of Sales is responsible for driving revenue growth, expanding market share, and fostering strategic partnerships. This executive-level position demands a proven track record in sales leadership, business development, and strategic planning. The ideal candidate will be a results-oriented visionary with a passion for building and scaling sales organizations within the staffing industry. This role is a key member of the executive leadership team, shaping the firm's strategic direction.

Responsibilities

  • Revenue Generation and Growth: Develop and execute comprehensive sales and business development strategies to achieve revenue targets and exceed expectations for both the temporary staffing and professional recruiting business units.
  • Team Leadership and Development: Build, lead, and mentor high-performing sales teams to maximize their potential and drive results.
  • Client Relationship Management: Foster strong, long-term partnerships with key clients, ensuring exceptional service and satisfaction.
  • Market Expansion: Identify and penetrate new markets, expanding the company's reach and customer base.
  • Operational Excellence: Implement sales processes, tools, and metrics to optimize efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Strategic Planning: Conduct market analysis, competitive assessments, and develop strategic plans to drive growth and profitability.
  • Financial Performance: Oversee sales budgeting, forecasting, and performance analysis.
  • Team Culture: Cultivate a high-performance culture emphasizing collaboration, accountability, and a client-centric focus.
  • Industry Leadership: Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and associations to enhance brand visibility and thought leadership.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in sales leadership, with a proven track record of achieving sales goals in the temporary staffing industry.
  • Ability to meet deadlines, manage costs, influence business outcomes, handle multiple priorities, and build relationships at team and executive levels.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and lead high-performing sales teams.
  • Strong strategic planning and analytical skills.
  • Proven ability to manage outcomes through the influence of multiple senior stakeholders both internally and externally.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience in the staffing industry required.

Desired Skills

  • Proficiency in sales CRM (preferably Bullhorn) and analytics tools.
  • Understanding of industry trends and best practices in both temporary staffing and professional recruiting.
  • Ability to build and maintain strong client relationships across both business units.
  • Strong negotiation and closing skills.
  • Experience in negotiating complex contracts.
  • Willingness to travel up to 50%.

Location

Preferred location for the role is Chicago. Remote possibility and will need to have access to major airport and be willing to travel to Chicago office as needed. Relocation is not offered.
