About Team:
What you'll do:
- Designs and implements backend services and APIs using Java programming language and build large scale data pipelines using Python and Airflow.
- Deploys, scales, and maintains the service applications WCNP, Kubernetes, Jenkins, Docker, and Git Version Control.
- Gathers, understands and signs off on new requirements from multiple programs to deliver the features and projects while working with cross-functional teams in different time zones using Slack, Zoom and Outlook.
- Tests the application changes using various testing paradigms including Integration testing, Unit testing using Junit, Mockito, A-B testing, and UAT testing.
- Debugs and resolves any issues in the applications found either in production or during development using logs, metrics, application graphs and alarms.
- Persists application data and information into tables using database management tools including PostgreSQL and Cassandra.
- Extracts, loads and transforms application data into relational schema using SQL queries for building new features, reprocessing any failed transactions, or debugging any issue in the application.
- Writes API design documents with service request-response contracts using Swagger.
- Runs, tests, imports, and creates REST API curls using Postman API platform during onboarding of a new service or in case of any issues which need to be debugged.
- Provides live knowledge transfer sessions to new hires and coworkers for a self-developed feature using an end-to-end working demonstration.
- Writes readable, maintainable, and scalable software code using Object-Oriented programming principles and software design patterns including Factory, Singleton, Abstract, and Chain of Command.
- Develops and Tracks software development progress using Agile SDLC and Kanban board to list individual steps in the process with estimated efforts.
What you'll bring:
- Experience designing and developing RESTful microservices and APIs in Java.
- Experience developing data pipelines using Python and Apache Airflow.
- Experience deploying and maintaining production/development applications using Jenkins CI/CD and Git version control.
- Experience testing applications using integration testing, unit testing, AB testing, UAT and other testing paradigms.
- Experience using different development tools and IDEs including IntelliJ, Postman, Swagger.
- Experience debugging and conducting root cause analysis of issues in development and production stages using logs, metrics and alarms.
- Experience in Agile SDLC and Jira Sprint boards to create sub tasks with estimates.
- Experience in using relational and non-relational database management tools including PostgreSQL and Cassandra, JDBC connections and SQL queries.
- Experience running, testing, importing and creating REST API curls using Postman and Swagger.
- Experience in providing knowledge transfer sessions, working demonstrations, whiteboarding sessions, creating design documents.
- Experience writing performant, readable, maintainable and scalable software code using Object-Oriented programming principles and software design patterns including Factory, Singleton, Abstract, and Chain of Command.
- Experience using Apache Kafka streams to process messages in event based system.
Minimum Qualifications:

Option 1: Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, computer information systems, software engineering, or related area and 3 years' experience in software engineering or related area.
Option 2: 5 years' experience in software engineering or related area.
