GENERAL ACCOUNTING

Jamaica Hospital Medical Center currently seeks Staff Accountant for immediate full-time opportunity in our General Accounting Department
RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Perform assigned accounting functions, complete assigned reports and analysis and provide accurate and timely information for review.
• Responsible for preparing monthly journal entries and account reconciliations.
• Responsible for tracking of fixed assets, construction in progress and capital leases.
• Responsible for tracking prepaid assets.
• Create and analyze supporting schedules and general ledger accounts for monthly and year end closing.
• Perform varying account analysis and work papers.
• Completes special projects as necessary.
• Performs related duties as assigned and unrelated duties as requested.

Requirements
Bachelor's Degree with a major in accounting required. Minimum 3-5 years of accounting experience. Microsoft Office with heavy concentration in Excel mandatory. Knowledge of Infor software a plus. Excellent communication and organization skills.
