Remote CA Based with opportunity for in-office work

A premier defense law firm that specializes in workers' compensation, employment, general liability, state audits, and subrogation law is searching for a seasoned Employment Attorney to work remotely from anywhere in California! They are seeking a talented and dynamic professional with a deep understanding of employment law and a proven track record in litigation. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker who is skilled at managing a diverse load of employment law cases from inception to completion. Salary Range: $190,000 - $225,000 / year DOE

Employment Attorney Requirements

  1. Minimum 10 years of employment law experience, including work with public entities
  2. Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited university
  3. Licensed to practice law in California
  4. Experience with school districts and defense cases preferred
  5. Excellent analytical, critical-thinking, and client-facing skills
  6. Ability to work independently and meet billable hour requirements

Employment Attorney Responsibilities

  1. Manage and handle cases from inception through trial with high standards of quality and efficiency
  2. Attend hearings, client meetings, and depositions
  3. Conduct discovery and review files in a completely paperless environment
  4. Collaborate with legal assistants and support staff to maintain case organization and meet deadlines
  5. Use systems including Dragon for dictation, Practice Master for case management, and Tabs 3 for integrated billing
